Privacy notice

This notice explains how Lovelace Partners uses personal data about candidates, client contacts and website visitors, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

Who is responsible for your data

Alexandra Schawilje, trading as Lovelace Partners (contact details above), is the data controller.

What we collect

For candidates: your name, contact details, CV, career history, skills, salary expectations, notice period and notes from our conversations. For client contacts: your name, job title, company and contact details, and details of the roles you are hiring for. For website visitors: what you send us through our forms.

Where it comes from

From you directly, through our forms, email or calls; and from professional sources you have made public, such as LinkedIn. If we obtain your details from a public professional profile, we will tell you within one month of first using them, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Why we use it and our legal basis

We use candidate data to find and introduce you to suitable roles, based on your consent or our legitimate interest in providing recruitment services. We use client data to manage our business relationship, based on our contract with you or our legitimate interest. We reply to enquiries based on your request. We never send your CV or details to a client without your agreement for that specific role.

Who we share it with

Clients considering you for a role you have agreed to; trusted service providers who help us run our business (such as email, hosting and our recruitment database), under data processing agreements; and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some clients and service providers are in the UK or outside the European Economic Area. The UK benefits from an EU adequacy decision. For other countries, we use safeguards approved by the European Commission, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep candidate data for up to two years after our last contact with you, then delete it unless you ask us to keep it. We keep client and billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@lovelacepartners.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, aepd.es) or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
